CorAspire Mental Health and Wellness Center believes that all individuals deserve the opportunity to work through their struggles in a therapeutic environment free of judgement. Our providers are dedicated to working with clients in all walks of life who are seeking help with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse/addiction issues.

Our services are available to all persons who meet admission standards. To ensure the best possible outcome, if we feel that we are not best qualified to help, we will do our best to refer you to the professional that is. CorAspire providers are licensed or certified professionals who operate from a client-centered approach.

 

History

Environment

There is no room for shame in our office. Opening up and sharing your life with someone can be scary, and we strive to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Our job is to collaborate with each client to help them reach the goals they set for themselves. A comfortable environment filled with trust and respect is the foundation of a successful treatment process. We want you to walk out our doors with more hope than when you entered.  
 

coraspire co-founders Abbey and Audra Blair

Abbey and Audra were born and raised in Oklahoma City. They’ve been in the mental health field for a combined 15 plus years.  They share the goal of raising the standard of care for mental health treatment in Oklahoma and our nation. This starts with creating a safe place where people can talk with competent, caring professionals to build a life they are proud of.  Abbey and Audra believe in holistic treatment, which incorporates every faucet of life to create a healthier person overall. They have built a team of compassionate professionals who work together to help improve the lives of every individual and family they work with. Abbey and Audra believe that we can each play a role in making the world a better place to live by extending grace and compassion to every individual we come in contact with.

Alex Atkinson (M.A., LADC-MH)

Alex Atkinson is a Licensed Alcohol Drug, and Mental Health Counselor. Alex received a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University, majoring in Sociology and minoring in Psychology. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Substance Abuse Counseling. Alex has experience working with children and adults on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral issues, substance abuse, life skills, trauma and grief. Her passion is diagnosing and treating drug addicts, alcoholics, and family members impacted by addiction. Alex believes in a holistic counseling approach allowing clients to grow into the best version of themselves. In her free time Alex enjoys traveling , volunteering , yoga and reading. Alex is currently serving 2 years in the Peace Corps in Lesotho Africa.

Abbey Blair (M.A., LPC)

Abbey is Co-owner and Clinical Director at CorAspire Mental Health and Wellness Center. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board approved LPC supervisor. Abbey received a Bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Human Development and Family Science. She received her Masters degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Counseling Psychology. Abbey has experience working with children, adults, families and couples on a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, relational conflict, behavioral issues, and more. Abbey is passionate about collaborating with her clients to address any issues that are keeping them from living their best life possible. In her free time Abbey enjoys sports, outdoor activities, reading, crafts, and spending time with loved ones.

Audra Blair (BHCM II, CPRC, CPRSS)

Audra is Co-owner and Executive Director at CorAspire Mental Health and Wellness Center. She is a Behavioral Health Case Manager II, is certified in Child Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and is a Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist. Audra provides behavioral health rehabilitation, behavioral health case management, and peer recovery services to adults and children. She received her Bachelors degree from Oklahoma State University. Audra’s passion is working with children and their families to empower them to reach their full potential. In her free time Audra enjoys sports, outdoor activities, reading, and spending time with loved ones.

Brook is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Candidate at CorAspire Mental Health and Wellness Center. Brook received her Bachelors degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in Family Life Education - Child Development and her Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has experience working with children, families, couples, and groups going through grief, divorce, trauma, and behavioral issues. Brook is passionate about helping couples and families gain greater balance, change, and personal satisfaction in all areas of their life. In her free time Brook enjoys sports, travel, spending time outdoors, and being with her dogs.

Josiah Stogsdill (M.A., LPC)

Josiah is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Josiah received a Bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Sociology. He received his Master’s degree from Oklahoma State University in Mental Health Counseling. Josiah has several years of experience working with children and teens addressing a wide variety of issues including anxiety, depression, anger, behavioral issues, substance use, life skills, trauma, and specifically issues associated with foster care. Josiah has begun acquiring experience working with adults since joining our team. His passion is working with individuals that may have a hard time feeling like they belong or difficulty seeing their personal value that they truly hold. Josiah believes in a person centered and solution focused approach. Using this approach encourages self-empowering initiative and positive psychology to help individuals develop skills for tackling the difficult obstacles that they are challenged with in life. In his free time Josiah enjoys food, sports, games, spending time with people, and traveling.

Travis Hartfield (BHCM II)

Travis is a Behavioral Health Case Manager II. Travis attended Oklahoma State University and received his Bachelors degree in Education and Masters degree in Education Technology and is currently working towards his doctorate degree. While attending college Travis was also a member of the football team and later coaching staff. Travis is an accomplished pastor, motivator, and coach with teaching experience in public school, private school, and college environments. Travis works primarily with teachers, young adults, and children to create an optimal learning environment to shape the future of our youth. Travis is the visionary, founder, and CEO of Qadosh (www.iamqadosh.com). This organization uses inspirational coaching and innovative technology to assist educators in overcoming stress and improving their overall health and well-being.

Her passion is diagnosing and treating co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders and family members affected by co-occurring disorders. Desirae Allen  (LPC Candidate)

Desirae is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate at CorAspire Mental Health and Wellness Center. She completed her Master’s of Arts in Counseling Psychology at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she also received her bachelor’s of arts degree in psychology. Desirae has experience working with individuals and families on several issues including mood and personality disorders, trauma, substance abuse issues and grief. She also has experience facilitating group therapy. Desirae believes treatment should target all domains of life and strives to provide a warm atmosphere, where open communication and transparency is welcomed and encouraged. Therapy can be uncomfortable, so Desirae enjoys emphasizing that clients and therapists are just regular people who find comfort in reorganizing normal, everyday experiences. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her younger brother, reading and trying different restaurants.

Joshua McDowell (LPC Candidate)

Josh is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Oklahoma State University and His Master’s of Art in Pyschology-Counseling from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is a qualified PCIT therapist and has experience working with defiant children and children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as a variety of other diagnoses (ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, ODD, CD, Trauma exposure, and more). Josh also has experience working with children with Problematic Sexual Behaviors in an evidence based practice. During his internship, he worked assessing children with prenatal substance exposure and referring to resources to help caregivers of these children. Josh strives to implement Evidence Based Treatments with both children and adults free of judgement. In his free time, Josh enjoys working outdoors, watching movies, reading, hiking, and exploring new places.

Heather Martin 

Heather Martin is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate with a Master of Art in Counseling and a Master of Science in Forensic Science. She is certified in Parent-Child Interactive Therapy (PCIT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Problematic Sexual Behavior (CBT-PSB) in youth. Heather has gained clinical experience providing developmental assessments for children with prenatal substance exposure and/or early adversity, screening and treating youth with problematic sexual behavior, implementing interventions for youth with problematic behavior (oppositional and/or defiance, ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, etc.), and working with individuals with trauma exposure. In addition to providing evidence-based treatment for children and families, she worked for two and a half years with the Oklahoma State Department of Health providing psychological autopsies for the National Violent Death Reporting System (NVDRS).
